Invitation to the launch of Miss Cordingley’s “not so secret” Garden

The Friends of Walkden Garden are taking steps to open up a hidden plot of land, now named “Miss Cordingley’s Garden”, for the benefit of visitors.  The project has got everyone excited, especially as it has been chosen by Greening Greater Manchester to be its 10th anniversary project.

We are keen for lots of people to get involved and so everyone is invited to the project launch day, to be held in Walkden Gardens, on Saturday 29th November 08 from 10am to 1pm.

Visitors can come and look at the model of the proposed Garden which will be on display together with photographs of previous projects and events.  They can even get their hands dirty by helping to plant shrubs and trees, which they will receive a certificate for doing.  Refreshments and cake will be served during the event.

So if you are looking for something to do on Saturday, you will be warmly welcome to join in.
